Dr. Angela Abernathy DDS

Dr. Angela P. Abernathy, an Alabama native, attended Alabama A&M University, where she earned her BS in mathematics. She received her DDS degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN.

Upon completing her studies at Meharry, Dr. Abernathy also completed two years of General Practice Residency at Harlem Hospital in New York City. While at Harlem Hospital she was exposed to a very rigorous schedule that included working with medically compromised patients, advanced dental procedures, the management of dental emergencies, exposure to advanced oral surgery procedures, emergency medical services and working with the anesthesia team.

In keeping with her commitment to gaining additional training and staying informed on the latest dental procedures and technology, Dr. Abernathy is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She regularly attends dental lectures, meetings and conventions and uses that knowledge to better serve her patients.
